Killed neighborhood cats as a boy, and charged with the murder of girlfriend Nancy Spungeon as an adult (died of a heroin overdose before trial).

Control freak. Recorded over bandmates’ parts, playing all the instruments on the band’s “Siamese Dream” album. Later blamed same bandmates for Pumpkins’ breakup. Inspired one-time manger Sharon Osbourne to quit after three months, calling him “a baldy (expletive) in a dress.”
5. Axl Rose (Guns N’ Roses)villian

Took Slash’s name off guestlist for 2001 G N’ R show.
4. Tommy Lee (Motley Crue)
Beat up security guards, photographers, and Pam Anderson. Put picture of Vince Neil in his toilet.
3. Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit)
Ego-maniac. Played “Break Stuff” during fan riot at Woodstock ’99. Drove Wes Borland out of band (twice). Apparently lied about sleeping with half of Hollywood.
2. Sting (The Police)
Broke up first marriage and the Police, then dedicated a mere paragraph to each in his autobiography. Didn’t attend either parent’s funeral. Stumps for environment, then appeared with music in Jaguar ad. Accused of hoarding funds raised for his Rainforest charity
And the #1 Rock Villain, according to Britain’s Q Magazine:
1. Courtney Love (Hole)
