If you head over to Scott Weiland’s MySpace page, you’ll see that the Stone Temple Pilots singer has updated his blog. In the post, Weiland writes that he is really excited to be reunited with STP, announces that his upcoming solo album will be a double one and will be released in November, and says that he is still working on his autobiography. Stone Temple Pilots will play K-Rock's Return of the Rock show in Holmdel, NJ on May 31st.
GN’R Nearly Reunited
In 2004, Guns N’ Roses almost reformed, at least, that’s what Scott Weiland is claiming. The vocalist told Classic Rock magazine that soon after GN’R released their Greatest Hits compilation in 2004, “It almost happened.” Weiland added, “The pens were ready to sign… but there was too much stuff being said. But it was a close call.” Weiland went on to say, “I think they should get Guns N’ Roses back together to tell you the truth. I think that would be the greatest thing that they could do. I think the world would be very happy. If they could stop talking trash about Axl [Rose] in the press. I would love to see that happen, as a Guns N’ Roses fan. I’d pay to see it.”
Will Scott Serve Jail Time In The Next 16 Days?
According to Entertainment Weekly, Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland will serve his eight-day jail sentence for DUI before the band heads out on their reunion tour. STP are set to play the Rock on the Range festival on May 17th, so Weiland now has 16 days to see it through. He also received four years’ probation, was fined two-thousand bucks and will have to complete an 18-month alcohol program. Rock & Roll!
