Heyman Hustle host Paul Heyman caught up with former Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan and threw him some questions about both his work life and his personal life.
Heyman asked Duff if there would ever be a one night only GN’R reunion, to which McKagan vaguely replied, “It unfortunately ended for a myriad of reasons, in and around ‘94, ‘95. We don’t really speak English language very well to each other but we communicate amazingly musically so in a lot of aspects, it’s a lot deeper than a relationship I can have with other male friends.”
As for the woes of Duff’s latest band, Velvet Revolver, the rocker spoke about losing singer Scott Weiland. He explained, “We lost Scott somewhere last summer and we knew it but we had to finish the tour because when you book a tour, you’ve got to finish. And that’s what we did and we thought at some point he’d come back around but he just didn’t.”
It turns out that Duff, who is happily married to former supermodel Susan “The Body” Holmes, has had sex with ugly women. On that topic, McKagan revealed, “I have. You know, I used to drink a lot. Yeah, sure I did.”
Weiland: In And Out Of Jail
Scott Weiland checked into a prison in Van Nuys, California on Monday morning to serve an eight-day sentence for a DUI he received in November. He went in at 8:55 AM and was out by 6:54 PM – serving less than 24 hours.
A rep for Weiland commented to MTV Radio, “He served his sentence and the tour will continue as planned.” He is scheduled to play the Rock on the Range festival with his band Stone Temple Pilots in Columbus, Ohio this Saturday and K-Rock's Return of the Rock show on May 31st in Holmdel, NJ.
