UK hipsters Bloc Party released their third album Intimacy in MP3 format about a week after the band had received the masters. MTV News caught up with bandmate Gordon Moakes to ask why they decided to have such a quick turnaround with this disc.
“You know, that’s the beauty of it. As soon as the tracks are finished and mastered then you could put them online like a minute later. You’ve just got to be happy with what you’ve done and as soon as you get to that moment, effectively that’s when you can start playing it to everyone.”
