Superstar marriages always seem hard to maintain, don't they? In the case of pop star Avril Lavigne and her Canadian rock star husband Deryck Whibley of Sum 41, there’s speculation that it may be another union that doesn’t quite make it.
According to UK paper The Sun, the couple is on the verge of ending their two-year marriage, largely in part to the “Complicated” singer’s hectic tour schedule. Damn, sick burn! Why they hatin' on Sum 41's tour schedule?
"On October 20th the National Enquirer issued a gossip story surrounding Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 and his wife Avril Lavigne. For the record we strongly deny the inference of martial problems between Avril and Deryck. We also strongly deny the National Enquirer claims of any other liaisons. Deryck has in fact been travelling through Asia performing with Avril as evidenced by the numerous Youtube videos.
Says Deryck Whibley 'I'm actually very surprised that so many media outlets picked this story up. Since when did the National Enquirer become a trustworthy news source?'."

Avril Lavigne is denying reports that her marriage to Sum 41 man Deryck Whibley is in trouble. Last week we posted the above statement from Sum 41’s MySpace page, and now, the Pop-Tart-Punk has spoken with In Touch magazine.
She says, “We’re best friends. We have so much in common and get along all the time. He makes me happy.”
